WOLF CREEK GIVES BACK TO VETERANS

Wolf Creek Golf Club Gives Back to Veterans
 
Wolf Creek Golf Club in Mesquite, Nevada is giving back to the community, and to local veterans. Recently, the club hosted the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit The Mesquite Veterans Center, a fundraiser that goes towards the construction of a new facility for the Mesquite Veterans Center. The money raised will help fund the construction of five modular framed units to make one 3,600 square foot building. The building will be used mainly for administration purposes, and act as a central meeting and gathering place for the organization.
 
“We saw the Mesquite Veterans Center as the perfect local organization to support,” said Joel Villanos, General Manager of Wolf Creek Golf Club. “Wolf Creek wanted to do its part in supporting our troops and the veterans, as well as support a local organization with a great cause.”
 
The fundraiser generated over $8,200 this year, $700 more than it raised last year. The day began with a 6am shotgun tee time, and concluded at 1pm with a lunch, raffle, and awards. More than 95 people participated, making this year’s event wildly successful.
 
“Everybody at Wolf Creek went out of their way to be helpful, courteous, and friendly, which made the event, one of our largest of the year, run smooth,” said Dennis Lynch, Chairman of the Mesquite Veterans Center, Inc. “They [Wolf Creek Golf Club] are a very honorable organization. They do what they say they are going to do.”
 
Established in 2008, the Mesquite Veterans Center is a non-profit organization that offers services to veterans of all branches of the military, such as assistance with completing VA forms and serving as a liaison to the Veterans Administration. For more information call 702.345.3361 or visit www.vvamesquite.org.
